Collaborative Editorial Workflows with InDesign and InCopy

Magazines, newspapers, books, and technical publications are all collaborative. The traditional linear workflow (designer to copy editor to the editor and back) can be a long, stressful process. There is a better way with InDesign and InCopy. InCopy complements Word in your editorial workflow and allows editors and copywriters concentrate on the content. In an InDesign/InCopy workflow, everyone works on the publication at the same time, allowing each player do what they do best. Learn to:

• Prepare an InDesign file for InCopy by tagging text and images and creating Assignments

• Check-out and check-in content with InCopy

• Understand InCopy’s toolset and editing modes

• Use change tracking and content review, and create PDFs in InCopy

• Complete the layout process in InDesign
